Core Focus

Firefly generative model embedded across Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere; GenStudio for marketing.

Key Initiatives
  • Firefly generative AI Adobe Firefly brings commercially-safe generative image, video and design models natively into Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere), monetised via generative credits.
  • AI Assistant in Acrobat & Experience Cloud GenAI assistants summarise documents and power marketing/customer-experience workflows, creating new subscription and add-on revenue.
  • Content-creation moat Adobe trains models on its own/licensed content, offering enterprises IP-safe generative AI — a differentiator versus open models.
Why Investors Should Care
  • AI is layered onto a dominant creative-software franchise with ~89% gross margins and ROE ~63%.
  • Generative credits create a usage-based monetisation layer on a large subscriber base.
  • Strong free cash flow (~$9bn) funds AI R&D and buybacks; P/E ~12 is undemanding.
  • Key risk: open-source/standalone GenAI tools could pressure the creative moat over time.
AI InvestmentMulti-hundred-million annual GPU spend + commercial-safe model training.
AI RevenueGenerative Credits beginning to monetize; AI uplift across Creative Cloud.
ROI (Now)Operating margin >35%; ARR growth continues.
