AI Exposure AI Semiconductor / Discretes & Passives

Vishay Intertechnology makes discrete semiconductors and passive components used across the power and electronic systems that support AI infrastructure, automotive and industrial.

Core Focus

MOSFETs, diodes, optoelectronics, resistors, inductors and capacitors that build and power electronic systems.

Key Initiatives
  • Power components for infrastructure Vishay's MOSFETs, diodes and passives support the power delivery in computing/data-centre and industrial systems.
  • Automotive & industrial content Rising component content in EVs and factories broadens the served market.
  • Capacity expansion Investment in capacity targets long-term content growth in electrification and infrastructure.
Why Investors Should Care
  • Broad-line discretes/passives supplier with indirect AI-infrastructure exposure.
  • Diversified across automotive, industrial and computing.
  • Margins are currently very thin (net ~0%) amid a weak cycle and heavy investment.
  • Commodity-component pricing and cyclicality are key risks.
AI InvestmentAI exposure is indirect; investment is in capacity and components for power and electronic systems.
AI RevenueNo AI-specific revenue is disclosed; AI-infrastructure demand flows through general component sales.
ROI (Now)Indirect — computing/infrastructure demand is one of many drivers amid a soft cycle.
ROI (Expected)A component-cycle recovery and rising content in electrification/infrastructure support growth.
