In addition, the company is developing, an antibody therapeutics to treat glioblastoma and other cancers by selectively killing EGFRvIII tumor cells without destroying healthy tissue; and TROP-2 x CD3 bispecific antibody that is developed with EngageTx platform to harness T cells to kill TROP-2–expressing tumors while minimizing the cytokine release that often limits the tolerability of T-cell engagers. It has a collaboration agreement with AstralBio to discover and develop novel antibodies for obesity and other cardiometabolic diseases. The company was formerly known as iBioPharma, Inc. and changed its name to iBio, Inc. in August 2009. iBio, Inc. was incorporated in 2008 and is headquartered in San Diego, California.
